The original site of Adaminaby is now under the waters of the stunning Lake Eucumbene, a haven for excellent trout fishing. The existing town is just a stone's throw from the wonderful Snowy Mountains ski resorts of Thredbo and Perisher Blue, and a short drive from both Jindabyne and Cooma.
Adaminaby boasts an old-world racetrack which was used in the filming of the movie Phar Lap. With a short drive from the existing town centre (7 kilometres from the Snowy Rivers Highway), you can view four buildings that were part of the original town.
Popular for closeness to northern ski fields of Mt Selwyn and also Yarrongobilly Caves. Also a popular fishing area and alpine horseback safaris into the National Park.
