This area is known for its falls Tembo (known also under the name of Guillaume falls) and Kakibola, like for its dancers Bayaka and Bapende. The lake May-Ndombe and the lake Tumba attract the amateurs of fishing of large fish. One sees there also crocodiles. Bandundu contains in its forests of famous gasolines (the "wenge").
