Belle Ile en Mer is the largest of the French Islands in the Atlantic, situaded off the south coast of Brittany and with more than 100 kilometres of coastline and a surface area of 84 km2 : that is, 20 km in length and 9 in width, beaches of fine sand, creeks-with water of emerald green, variety of seabirds nest amidst the heath and gorse.

Belle-Ile en Mer welcomes you and offers you oppotunity to enjoy your favourite pastimes in the best possible conditions. By following the 102 km of coastal paths for walkers only, you can make a complete circuit of the island. There are 200 km of trails, of which 35 km are specially signposted, for cyclists to discover another side to this multi-faceted island. Out of season, you may also choose a cruise, a sailling course or even to explore Belle Ile en Mer on horseback. Belle Ile en Mer has two marinas, an aerodorme, a golf, a thalassotherapy centre, tennis courst and equestrian centres, From springtime onwards, diving sailing, windsurfing, sea canoeing or just the simple pleasures of sea bathing will rechage your batteries in the folds of this ocean which will envelop you and protect you from the hectic and artificial pace of modern life.
