The market municipality of Breitenbrunn is located between the soft sloping hills of the Leithagebirge mountain range and Middle Europe´s largest steppe lake, the Neusiedler See lake. It is well guarded by the 32m high Türkenturm tower. Breitenbrunn was first chartered in 1262. Findings dating back to the time of Christ prove that it´s always been a place worth living in. The first settlers lodged in a broad (German: breit) circle around – that´s where the village got its name from. A lof of the old architecture has been preserved, visitors feel taken back to former centuries. The "liquid sun" of our town is stored in the cellars. Our winegrowers have been taught by their ancestors how to press wine, and they continue this old tradition. Breitenbrunn is a little holiday paradise that offers a lot to their guests! There are many reasons for spending a couple of days with us. Relax and unwind and recharge your batteries for the rest of the year. If you want to know more about us, do not hesitate to call.
