Brueckl is known as the"Door to the Noric Region" and lies at the mouth of the Goertschitz into the Gurk.
The name of the village is due to a bridge over the Goertschitz, which was erected in the 16th century. On the basis of its geographic location, Brueckl is, and has always been, at the junction of the road from Klagenfurt and St. Veit to Huettenberg, to the Klippitzhoerl or into Styria. Besides numerous excursion destinations many attractions are available to the guest in the village like a modern sport center with sauna and squash court, minigolf courses and much more.
