A two hour trip from Cali on a wide highway will take you to Buga, one of the most important towns in the state of the Valle del Cauca, which has preserved the urban structure of the XVII and XVIII centuries in very good condition. Important monuments are the Cathedral, the temple of San Francisco and the Palacio Nacional. Buga is a recognized center for pilgrimages where thousands of pilgrims from Colombia and neighboring countries arrive each year to visit the Sanctuary of the Seņor de los Milagros.
