Tourist Information about Bunbury

Bunbury is a pretty port south along the coast from Perth. It is a popular holiday destination and home to a number of dolphins and plenty of Blue Manna Crabs.

Due to the many Bottlenose Dolphins a popular activity is a visit to the Dolphin Discovery Centre on Koombana Beach Ph: 9791 3088. You may also get the opportunity to swim with the dolphins, which is wonderful. You can swim and snorkel with the dolphins within the Dolphin Discovery Centres Interaction area all year around. However, the centre also offers a cruise including the opportunity to swim with the dolphins (December to April). If you'd prefer to stay dry, but still see the dolphins you can join a cruise from the centre to go dolphin spotting.

There are a number of other tourist attractions around Bunbury, including the Big Swamp Wildlife Park, the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries and the interesting King Cottage. You can also visit the nearby 4 metres by 7 metres church in Australind, or join one of the walking tours around the town, or the very enjoyable Cheese and Wine Cruises with MV Paddlewheeler Ph: 9721 2933.

There are some excellent cafes and restaurants in Bunbury, with many situated along the 'Cappuccino Strip' on Victoria Street. There is also a selection of accommodation based around the Leschenault Inlet.
