Deutsch Kaltenbrunn is located in southern Burgenland at an altitude of 260-360m. The village has 1835 inhabitants. The village is characterized by the Lahnbach river (protected landscape) and the Lafnitz river with its rare fauna and flora. Besides numerous hiking trails, a cycling trail is available. Other sports facilities include tennis court, fishing, ice- and asphalt curling.
