Lying in the heart of Carinthia, bordered by gently heights, is the district city of Feldkirchen.
The visitor can expect a broad leisure offer, which spans from almost all types of sport up to high carat cultural events. The cultural center, the "Babenberger Amthof," which dates back to the 15th century, is, even without an events program, an absolute "must" for visitors. Also worth a visit is the main square with the beautiful spring fountain surrounded by historic house facades. Besides the proximity to the Ossiacher See there are two lakes belonging to the city, the Flatschacher and the Maltschacher lake, both do not charge admission. Friends of the sport of flying can also enjoy themselves here and can view the wonderful area from the small airport Tiffen via a glider- or engine-powered airplane.
