The town´s name originates from the Danish poet Jens Baggesen who, in the eighteenth century, gave one of the townhouses the name of Korinth. In 1801 this building was sold and converted o a royal licensed inn. Today this inn offers delicious meals and accommodation for teh night. Brahetrolleborg Castle and church date from the thirteenth century where a monastic order founded a monastery. the castle is not open for the public. Arreskov Castle, originally a Renaissance castle which dates back to the Danish King Valdemar the Victorious who reigned in the middle of the thirteenth century. The castle is not open for the public. Holstenshuus Castle, the parkt around the castle and the large woodlands are all open to the public. The landscape has a varied vegetation and is perfect for long hikes. The castle is not open to the public
