The first larger village you come to south of Rudkøbing is Lindelse. The first that catches your eye is the newly restored church standing high on a hilltop together with its beautiful rectory just a little further down the street. The church can be dated all the way back to the 12th century, but then the church had neither tower nor porch - these were not built until much later. As in all old villages in Denmark, the inn stands nearly opposite the church and rectory. With its authentic inn atmosphere, Lindelse Inn, which can be dated back to 1798, creates a cosy framework for a rich traditional Danish dinner. Just outside Lindelse is the Community Centre which is known for, amongst other things, its many sporting and social events.
