Tourist Information about Snogebaek

Snogebæk is summer cosiness in Bornholm.

Stroll along the streets of Snogebæk at your own pace and make a stop wherever you want to.

You will be drawn into the fishing hamlet of the yellowish-white light of the glasshouse oven and the round shapes, which are gently blown into the molten glass. At the exhibition you see the clear results of the meeting between the glass, the hand and the spirit – blown into the glass through a long dark pipe. It’s difficult not to buy something. But handle with care!

Before you even enter Kjærstrup Chocolate you will find it difficult to control the expectation of your imagination and the sense of the handmade chocolate of the finest raw materials. Your mouth is ready for the nice meeting with a new Bornholm delicacy.

You will be tempted to look closer to original design – fashion clothes, ceramics, interior design or ecological ice-cream from Boisen. Several quality shops with their own characteristic features are situated in this small fishing hamlet.

Perhaps you are on your way to the beach, which is one of the best in Bornholm. Balka Beach has firm sand and low water in the bay, which is ideal for the children.

Perhaps you are on your way to the harbour with the longest pier and the many active fishing vessels at the end of the 100 metres long landing-stage of wood. Snogebæk Harbour is a unique island harbour, which has been placed here in order to avoid sanding up.

You will enjoy the small tool houses on the salt meadow inside the harbour and the old life saving station, which has given inspiration to the interior of the nearest pub. Here, it is OK to get in deep water! An old lifeboat and all the equipment of the rescue-business are hanging just above your head.

Snogebæk tempts with several good restaurants, midget gold and to the south, only a few minutes drive from Snogebæk, you find a nice 18-hole golf course. And then there is Dueodde Beach with the enormous sand dunes and the sand, which because of the fineness, says funny when you walk.
