Location. Turquoise waters lap against sugar white beaches at the Sands at Grace Bay in the town of Providenciales. Located along one of the many islands that comprise the Turks and Caicos, Grace Beach is rated by Conde Naste as one of the top ten beaches in the world. Scuba diving at White House Reef is less than three kilometers away while Turtle Cove's restaurants and marina are four kilometers from the resort.
Hotel Features. Bahamian breezes stir island palms as guests dine at Hemingway's, an open air beachfront restaurant illuminated after nightfall by tiki torches, oil lanterns and the Milky Way. On select evenings, Hemingway's serves Caribbean barbecue while live music performs. The resort offers business services and complimentary wireless Internet access, but one hopes that corporate agendas conclude quickly. As inspiration, the resort features a freeform pool, a circular children's pool, and two freeform pools connected by two channels that wind through tropical gardens. Health conscious treatments that feature use of seaweed, therapeutic muds and water lily wraps are available in a massage room. Complimentary supervised children's activities are offered during winter months. Guests may explore the ocean's expanse with complimentary Hobie Cat sailboats, kayaks and snorkeling gear, and discover island haunts by bicycle.
Guestrooms. The Sands at Grace Bay offers 120 non smoking suites in six, three story buildings. Suites include screened balconies or ground floor verandas, kitchens or kitchenettes, washer/dryers and ceiling fans. Televisions offer U.S. cable channels. Décor features white tile floors trimmed with red marble, colorful area rugs, crown molding, and a combination of light stained woods and rattan furnishings. Indonesian style furniture features rosy wood dowels set in geometric patterns with wrought iron accents.
Expert Tip. Moms and dads may wish to play the 18 hole championship course located two miles east of the resort in preparation for competing against their children at the adjacent 18 hole miniature golf course.
Please Note:
The Sands At Grace Bay will be undergoing renovations to the second and third floors of the balcony in Building three from September 6 through 16, 2005. Work will take place between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM. The work will include the use of scaffolding, drills, hammers, tile cutters and sanders.
